Getting to know Steve from SW Health & Wellbeing

Hello there and welcome to SW Health & Wellbeing. I am very excited that after 2 and a half years of learning the practicalities of running your own business and how best I can fit my skills into this world, I have finally become official by owning a website.

I have worked in the Health and Fitness industry for the past 8 years, the last 6 of which in a rehab gym in a busy Physiotherapy Outpatient Department. In this time I have accrued thousands of hours of learning in what makes the best treatment and keep up to date with the changing advice for the best practice when it comes to manual therapy and exercise advice. I understand what it is like to train hard for your sport but also understand how frustrating injuries can be. An injury is rarely just physical and part of my rehab approach tackles the psychological elements of overcoming barriers, something that is often neglected in gyms from my experience.

My aim is for SW Health & Wellbeing to be unique in its ability to mix hands on therapy and motivational techniques with the highest quality exercise therapy. Everyone is different and there will often be different approaches that work for different people. It is one of my best attributes that I am friendly and approachable and will make you feel at ease quickly which allows the best treatment environment.

I want to keep expanding what I can offer and I already have plans to extend my clinic time to offer an Osteoarthritis class for exercise therapy in the very near future. Keep an eye out for this or contact me for more information.

I am also fortunate enough to work on cycling events and holidays which has led me to meet the absolute best cycling coach, bike shop owners and cycling event organiser in the South West of England (if not the whole of the UK!). If you are in any need of help and advice with what they can offer then please take a look at their websites by clicking on the links above.
